Home School Agreement
At the beginning of each new school year we ask parents/carers and children to sign a home school agreement. This agreement states what you, as a parent/carer, can expect from the school and what we, as a school, expect from you and your child. The Friends of Browick Road Primary and Nursery School
The Friends are an active and flourishing group of parents who support the school through organising fundraising and social events. Each year they organise the summer and Christmas Fairs and other social events such as quiz nights, children’s fashion shows and book fairs. They also organise the online school uniform ordering system.
Money raised from the Friends enables the school to buy many valuable extras, such as ipads, hexagonal seats around the trees on the field, outdoor play resources and curriculum discovery days. School Council also work with the Friends on fundraising events and approach the Friends with requests for extra resources in school.
The Friends also support and subsidise special events such as Maths Mind Mission Day, the Christmas entertainment and theatre trips.
New members are very welcome on the Friends committee. Please see the big noticeboard on the playground for dates of the next meeting and come along. If you are new to the area, it’s also a great way of making new friends.
Parent Communication Pathway
If you have any issues concerning your child click here for information on the correct person to contact.
At Browick we do a lot of work on food in School. Munch Bunch is a group of parents (from Friends), staff and our catering contractor who organise activities on healthy eating. Each term they organise family food workshops with families and children which are supported by local businesses.
We have a fabulous allotment at Browick developed with the practical help from the Royal Horticultural Society. All children garden as part of our curriculum. They spend time in the allotment learning how to grow a range of things and if there’s not space in the allotment you will see potato pots, or tomato bags tucked in discrete places next to classrooms. The best thing about growing the food is eating it afterwards!
Kaleidoscope Out of School Childcare is an independent facility based at Browick Road Primary School. Kaleidoscope provides high quality childcare for children aged 4-11 years and runs a highly successful breakfast, after school and holiday club. We are able to collect children from Robert Kett Primary School for after school care at no extra cost to parents and the holiday club is open to any child during school holidays dependent on spaces.
Kaleidoscope provides a wide range of play based activities including outdoor play, games, role play, arts and crafts, iPads and an Xbox!
