Year 5 - Spain
Welcome to Spain class. We are in Year 5 and our teacher is Miss Walker. Miss Adcock is our Teaching Assistant.
Year 5 had a great day out in Norwich on Tuesday, taking part in the Talking Statues tour from the Norfolk & Norwich Festival. The tour took them through the city centre, popping into Norwich Cathedral and the Bridewell Museum, singing to a statue in an alleyway and admiring the lions at City Hall! They had a lovely time and now even more excited about going to Cambridge on Friday!
Children in Year 5 have been busy finishing off their volcanoes topic by creating detailed Powerpoint presentations. Next week we are going to start a new topic, Mayans and Aztecs. What do you know about these civilisations and what would you like to know? Can you research a fact to share next week?
Yesterday we celebrated International Dance Day, this is a global celebration of dance, created by the Dance Committee of the International Theatre Institute, the main partner for the performing arts of UNESCO. The event takes place every year on 29th April, the anniversary of the birth of Jean-Georges Noverre, the creator of modern ballet.
In year 5 we had fun dancing along to some of our favourite tunes following the moves from Just Dance.
