Over the last few weeks we have been exploring the art form of ‘drawing’.  We have investigated the use of different media on different types of paper and card.  We talked about which media was our favourite to draw with and charcoal pencils came out most popular!  We discovered that tracing paper created a nice surface to smudge pencils on. 

This week we learnt drawing techniques such as shading and cross-hatching as a way to help us convey meaning and feelings.  We all drew pictures of the weather inspired by the book ‘The Storm Whale’ by Benji Davies.
