We were very lucky to have a special visitor come to our SRB to demonstrate ‘printmaking’ to us. Over the last half term, we have been learning all about printmaking and have experimented with different objects to create printed pictures. Amelia Bowman is a local artist who lives in Wymondham and specialises in creating collagraphs as part of her printmaking art. She showed us how it works step by step and the children were amazed at the colourful pictures she can create.
The class got to collaboratively work together to create their very own collagraph plate using cut out flower templates. Each flower represents the children and staff in the setting. It is a lovely piece of printed art that we will cherish forever!
