This week, we have been learning about irreversible changes

Together, we planned an experiment to find out what happens if you mix different amounts of sugar with yeast and water.  This was our most exciting experiment to date!  As the yeast and sugar reacted it produced a gas which we learnt was called carbon dioxide.  To show that a gas was present we had put balloons on top of the bottles.  As we wrote up the experiment, we were able to watch what happened to the balloons and make comparisons. Watch the video to see our experiment.
