We have been learning to draw detailed sketches of objects in different sizes, keeping features in proportion and including details. First, the class used magnifying glasses to look closely at pieces of fruit and veg and draw them in their sketch books;  then they enlarged their favourite drawing as a pencil sketch; then they completed another version of the same fruit but using pastels or paints. Some chose to replicate the same colours through careful colour mixing, whilst some chose to use a surreal approach and produce a pink kiwi or a blue pepper!
