Children who have booked an “Early Start” session arrive. |

All other morning/full day children arrive. On arrival, children are welcomed at the gate. They are shown indoors, where they then put away their coats/bags and change their shoes. They self-register by finding their name pebble and placing it in the basket, and they are then free to play. An adult will be seated at the ‘name table’ and children will be called two at a time to come and find their name cards and practise writing their first initial or their full name, as appropriate. |

9:25 – 9:45am |
Whole-class carpet time. This will include singing our ‘Good Morning’ song, answering to our names in the register and a literacy/maths/phonics-based activity. |

9:45 – 10:30am |
‘Free-flow’ continuous provision. The children are free to follow their own interests, indoors or outside, with adults joining in with their play. There will be at least one planned ‘adult-led’ activity taking place which relates to the story we are basing the week’s learning on, and all children will be encouraged to take part in this at some point. |

10:30 – 10:45am |
Snack time. The children sit together with the adults for a healthy snack and a drink of milk or water. We use this time to encourage conversation and good table manners. |

Story time. The children vote for their preferred story using our special tokens. |

12:00pm |
Home time for morning children and lunchtime for those who stay all day. Afternoon session children arrive and settle in. These children will enjoy some quiet individual and small group activities with their key person whilst the older children are at lunch. |
