Police Visit

On Wednesday 15th April, we had a police constable – PC Hayley McNeil – come to the school to give us some facts about being a police officer. She let us wear some equipment and we got to ask lots of questions. We got to try on some equipment such as; police coats, hats, gloves, and utility vests. She told us that the age you are allowed to be arrested is 10 years and that you are allowed home alone when your parents think you are responsible enough to handle an emergency. Pc McNeil has lots of responsibilities in her job such as preventing crime, keeping people safe, being a first aider, a social worker, a coach, and many more.

We learnt lots and had lots of fun trying on the uniform.
