Home School Agreement
At the beginning of each new school year, we ask parents/carers and children to sign a home school agreement. This agreement states what you, as a parent/carer, can expect from the school and what we, as a school, expect from you and your child. To view a copy of the current Home School Agreement please see below.

Code of Conduct for Meetings and Telephone Calls
In all public services, there is an expectation of conduct which promotes good communication and understanding between all parties.
Meetings:
Please help us to help you by:
- Calling in or telephoning to make an appointment.
- Informing the school of what the meeting is about.
- Bringing some notes to ensure you raise all the points you want to share and discuss.
- Being prepared to listen in return.
- Remembering there are two sides to every situation. We understand how distressing it is if your child is upset but, like us, you model to your child how to approach difficult situations throughout life.
Telephone calls:
Please help us to help you by:
- Understanding that you may not be able to speak to the person requested immediately as staff may be teaching or carrying out other responsibilities at that time.
- Having some notes ready to ensure you raise all the points you want to share or discuss.
- Speaking calmly, avoiding personal comments or sweeping judgments.
- Being prepared to listen in return. We understand how distressing it is if your child is upset but, like us, you model to your child how to approach difficult situations throughout life.
Munch Bunch
At Browick, we do a lot of work on food in school. Munch Bunch is a group of parents (from Friends), staff and our catering contractor who organise activities on healthy eating. At Browick, we do a lot of work on food in school. Munch Bunch is a group of parents (from Friends), staff and our catering contractor who organise activities on healthy eating. They organise food workshops for families. These are supported by local businesses.
We have a fabulous allotment at Browick, developed with the practical help from the Royal Horticultural Society. All children garden as part of our curriculum. They spend time in the allotment learning how to grow a range of things and, if there’s not space in the allotment, you will see potato pots or tomato bags tucked in discreet places next to classrooms. The best thing about growing the food is eating it afterwards!
