Welcome to France class! Mrs. Ellice is our teacher every Monday and Tuesday and Mrs. Harding is our teacher from Wednesday to Friday. Our teaching assistant is Mrs. Philpott.

Year 2 started making their own Stop Motion animations today. We explored the app and made one together as a class. They then had a go with a partner to draw and take their own pictures to create a short film.
We made overnight oats in DT today. We talked about having a balanced diet and the nutritional benefits of the different ingredients.
We have started learning about measures. The children estimated how long an item is and then used rules to measure in centimetres.
We were scientists today! We created colourful potions, did some magic and danced with scarves.
Martha, one of Kett’s rebels, joined us today. She told us all about life during the Tudor period and what happened during Robert Kett’s rebellion.
Today we went to visit Mrs Shildrake at Fairland Church. She talked to us about baptisms and we watched the toy baby being baptised.
We’ve had Laura from Active Education in school teaching our gymnastics lessons. She taught us a fun warm up game and then we tried different balances with a partner.
Today we were beginning to learn how to touch type. We used a website called ‘typing club’ which helped up to practise this skill.
We’ve been learning about money in maths. We have identified coins and notes up to £20. Today we tried to make different amounts using coins. Do you know how to make 23p?
We had lots of fun yesterday at Strangers’ Hall. We talked about how the fire started and looked for safe and unsafe items in the house. We then acted out the buildings burning and tried to put them out.
